Job Opportunity: Strategic Research Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced research consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Global Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for conducting high-level research on individuals, corporations, trusts, and foundations to identify potential partners and donors whose interests may align with our mission.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a prospect research role, preferably in the non-profit sector or academia. You will possess excellent research and communication skills, with the ability to assess information rapidly and rigorously from a variety of sources.

In this role, you will plan and execute strategies to identify potential partners and donors, conduct research on individuals and organisations, analyse the donor database, build strong relationships with fundraisers and relationship managers, and manage prospect research related documentation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using biographical, organisational, and financial sources.
  • Analyse data to identify patterns and trends in donor behaviour.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with fundraisers and relationship managers to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect research activities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a prospect research role.
  • Advanced training in prospect research for philanthropic support or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent research and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
