Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced technologist with a passion for Linux and Cloud technologies to spearhead our OpenStack engineering efforts.

About the Role:
  • Team Leadership: Manage a growing engineering team, focusing on process improvement and optimization.
  • Performance Metrics: Identify and measure key performance indicators for team health and success.
  • Process Implementation: Establish disciplined engineering and operations processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Stakeholder Representation: Represent the team in interactions with stakeholders, customers, and external teams.
  • Priority Alignment: Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Service Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service level agreements for customer deployments worldwide.
About You:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent.
  • Professional Experience: Proven track record of software delivery experience using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar languages, and/or managing operations teams.
  • OpenStack Expertise: Strong experience with OpenStack and its ecosystem.
  • Testing and Quality: Demonstrated commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
  • Linux Administration: Experience with Linux system administration, particularly with Ubuntu/Debian.
  • Communication and Cooperation: Strong communication and cooperation skills.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in and managing distributed teams, as well as agile software development methodologies.
  • Distributed Systems: Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems.
  • Cloud Topologies: Experience with cloud topologies and technologies.
