Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Configuration Expert to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting implementation project teams to deliver Dayforce configuration that meets the highest standards, providing exceptional customer support to clients awaiting implementation of their Dayforce product, and delivering long-term solutions to fix configuration gaps identified by Dayforce customers post go-live.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Requirements: Confirm, gather, understand, and document customer requirements to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Configuration Consulting: Consult customers on various options to address business requirements by leveraging best practices, considering downstream effects of configuration choices, applying deep understanding of data flow in Dayforce and 3rd-party applications, and considering product performance and cloud resources to optimize solutions.
  • Data Troubleshooting: Write SQL code to identify, troubleshoot, and fix data as well as configuration issues in the customer's Dayforce instance.
  • XML/XSLT Expertise: Understand, troubleshoot, and modify XML and XSLT code to ensure efficient data integration.
  • Project Management: Create and follow a project plan using effort estimation, outline action items, measure progress, make adjustments, and follow the plan through to completion; provide customers with significant and timely updates; prioritize and manage multiple projects for a customer and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaboration and Testing: Collaborate with customers, Ceridian contacts, and 3rd-party vendors to conduct thorough testing to deliver a complete and high-quality solution.
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Use negotiation and conflict resolution skills to drive projects to successful resolution; recommend continued product enhancements.
  • Mentorship and Training: Support the Solutions Team by providing mentorship and high-quality training materials; provide solution oversight for projects; create, document, and optimize team processes.
Requirements
  • Deep Understanding of Dayforce: A thorough knowledge of Dayforce configuration and data flow is required.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Excellent technical skills, including SQL, XML, and XSLT.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
