Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met for our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test plans to ensure software quality.
  • Review and understand software requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to identify potential issues.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking system to facilitate prompt resolution.
  • Perform thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality.
  • Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Document and communicate test results, status reports, and defect metrics to the QA Manager and development team.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA testers.
Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
