Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

About the Role

The Financial Operations Specialist performs a range of tasks to support the smooth operation of financial systems and processes. This role involves working under established procedures and guidelines, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Payment Processing
    • Confirm treasury investments, debt, and foreign exchange transactions with counterparty banks
    • Prepare and generate instructions needed to settle treasury bank account transfers and investment and foreign exchange transactions with counterparty banks
    • Initiate settlement of treasury transactions through online platforms
    • Deliver transaction documents to banks and other counterparties
    • Deposit company checks into disbursing accounts
    • Prepare and generate instructions needed to settle company payment obligations
    • Prepare and generate instructions needed to settle subsidiary payment obligations
    • Process requests for foreign currency for employee travel
    • Safekeep documents related to treasury transactions, company and subsidiary payments or investments
    • Process returned and stale checks
  • Management of Banking Relationships
    • Prepare and generate instructions needed to open and close bank accounts
  • Cash Management and Working Fund
    • Process collections and remittances from various offices and third parties
    • Release outsourced checks
    • Release employee reimbursements through the working fund
    • Ensure complete recording of released outsourced checks
    • Monitor the status of unpresented checks
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in any business field
    • At least 2 years of relevant work experience gained from banking and/or finance industry
    • Familiarity with various Treasury products and services is an advantage
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrates high integrity and trustworthiness
    • Able to take on multiple tasks even with minimal supervision
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
    • Willing to work onsite
