Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Administrator to support our growing business in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, solid knowledge of Xero, and an understanding of the unique financial requirements of the construction industry in Australia.

This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will manage daily financial transactions and data entry using Xero, process invoices and receipts, reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, prepare and lodge BAS, payroll, and superannuation contributions, track project expenses, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

The Financial Administrator will also support month-end and year-end financial reporting, requiring excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Experience in handling payroll and superannuation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial transactions and data entry using Xero.
  • Process invoices and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll, and superannuation contributions.
  • Track project expenses and assist with job costing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Financial Administrator, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Xero and related accounting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting practices, GST, and BAS.
  • Experience in handling payroll and superannuation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
