Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Tax Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in U.S. tax preparation and consulting, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws.
As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, as well as advising clients on tax planning, compliance, and structuring matters.
Additional responsibilities include representing clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collection cases, and ensuring timely and accurate filings in accordance with IRS guidelines.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Requirements:
- Must be an Enrolled Agent (EA) with current IRS credentials.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and consulting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax codes, especially for individuals and small businesses.
- Experience with tax software.
- Familiarity with FATCA, FBAR, and foreign asset reporting.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with taxation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with complex tax issues and strategies is a plus.
