Compliance Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an analytical and strategic Tax Manager to oversee our compliance function. This role will work directly with partners to ensure the preparation of tax returns, driving accountability and knowledge up-skilling within the team.

  • Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business returns, including 1120, 1120s, 1065, not for profit, and 1041s.
  • Assist staff with diagnosing issues in tax return preparation and provide technical guidance and oversight to junior team members.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to obtain missing information and provide timely updates.
  • Respond to tax authority notices and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Versatile and organized, able to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with a strong understanding of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Deep experience with tax return preparation, including forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041, and not for profit returns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ProSeries tax software.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
