Multifamily Real Estate Asset Accountant

Our organization is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support accounting and financial operations across a growing portfolio of multifamily real estate assets. This role requires the ability to record and categorize transactions across multiple entities, maintain general ledgers, and prepare account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:- Process transactions in Yardi, ensuring accurate recording and categorization.
- Maintain and update general ledgers, including account reconciliations.
- Manage bank activity, initiating, tracking, and confirming intercompany and external transfers and wires.
- Process payments and disbursements in accordance with company policies.
- Reconcile corporate credit card activity and ensure accurate expense tracking.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable activity across properties and entities.
- Assist with entity-level financial statement preparation and monthly close procedures.
- Support other members of the accounting team with cross-functional initiatives.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in real estate, corporate multi-entity environments is a plus.
- Experience with Yardi is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically advanced functions and formulas.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
