Medical Support Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for healthcare and strong communication skills.

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Medical Support Specialist to provide administrative support to healthcare professionals in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize EMR systems to manage patient records efficiently and accurately.
  • Update and maintain EMR systems with new patient information, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
  • Explain our services to new patients, ensuring they have a clear understanding of how our systems work.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with medical billing teams to ensure accurate coding and billing information.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Support Specialist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient in using EMR systems and having a strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and data entry.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • EMR system proficiency.
