A Data Operations Analyst plays a critical role in managing and optimising data processes to ensure seamless access, analysis, and decision-making across an organisation. This position bridges the gap between technical data teams and business operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient controls of data processing systems.

Key responsibilities:
  • Data Cleaning and Transformation:
    • Identifying and resolving data quality issues such as duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies.
  • Data Quality Monitoring:
    • Establishing and maintaining data quality metrics, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Data Pipeline Management:
    • Managing existing data pipelines to collect data from ingestion, processing, and distribution across different systems.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Analysing operational processes to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • System Administration:
    • Maintaining and troubleshooting data and reporting systems, including simple data and reporting tools administrative tasks.
  • BAU Ownership:
    • Managing and processing existing BAU automated processes. Acting as first-level incident support analysts in case of failure and maintaining Ops Manual for ease of issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of any IT or Computer related course preferably Engineering, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or Statistics related
  • 3 to 5 years experience
Required Skills:
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of basic SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and trends in data.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration Skills: Effectively working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
