We are seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and support financial reporting. This role involves handling payroll management and requires strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recording and processing financial transactions for clients using various accounting systems.
  • Processing invoicing and accounts receivable, as well as paying bills and managing expense management software and accounts payable.
  • Managing payroll through a payroll service and handling other accounting entries and transactions.
  • Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, reconciling and balancing accounts, verifying, allocating, and posting details of business transactions to the accounting system.
  • Providing support for audits by external entities, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested.
  • Compiling reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business.
  • Reporting against metrics/budgets, etc., and performing payroll and payroll tax-related returns.
  • Analyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and preparing a balance sheet, profit, and loss statement, and other reports to summarize the current and projected company financial position.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
  • Experience with Bill.com is a plus.
  • Prior experience with manufacturing or construction is preferred.
  • Experience in general ledger through financial statements and online bill pay experience.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in a multi-client environment.
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation.
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
