Logistics Coordinator Role Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and services. This involves coordinating and supporting logistical operations to guarantee timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities include monitoring shipments, scheduling appointments for pickups and deliveries, maintaining accurate records of shipping activities and logistics data, communicating effectively with drivers, vendors, and warehouse staff, preparing reports for the logistics department, and performing basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.

You will also respond to inquiries from customers and internal teams regarding shipping status and logistics, and participate in team meetings to discuss logistics planning and strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics, administration, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are necessary for effective collaboration with drivers, vendors, and warehouse staff.
  • The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Familiarity with logistics software or tools is an advantage.
Benefits and Requirements
  • This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday mornings for approximately 3 hours.
