Job Overview

The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to our team of mortgage brokers. With a strong background in industry-standard software, this role is perfect for those who are passionate about delivering quality client outcomes.

This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a cohesive and high-paced environment. The successful candidate will be highly organized, proficient at multi-tasking, and able to learn software quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Mortgage Brokers throughout the loan application process.
  • Assist with all stages of the loan process, from initial contact through to settlement.
  • Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Mortgage Brokers and their applications.
  • Request and gather client information, liaising directly with clients where necessary.
  • Conduct needs analysis, serviceability assessments, product assessment, and funding position based on clients' objectives and situations.
  • Research lender policies.
  • Prepare loan comparisons.
  • Packaging all client loan applications, ensuring accurate data entry and supporting documentation.
  • Lender follow-up and status reporting.
  • Ownership of compliance-related matters, capturing all documentation and data in the CRM system.
  • Completing loan serviceability, ordering valuations, preparing forms (FHOG), gathering rate quotes, arranging loan doc execution, and arranging settlements with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years Australian experience supporting a mortgage broker or banking/lending industry is an advantage.
  • Experience with Aggregator CRM software and Applyonline/Simpology (LoanApp) lodgment systems.
  • Possess understanding of data privacy, the Australian Best Interest Duty, Responsible Lending, and the broker's obligations under this legislation.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented in work.
  • Understanding of the mortgages language and end-to-end loan application process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive and high-paced environment.
  • Well-presented and highly organized.
  • Ability to understand financial documents, bank credit policy, and assess PAYG applications.
  • Great team player with a strong work ethic.
  • IT savvy and able to learn software quickly.
