Senior Financial Planning Analyst Job Overview

The role of Senior Financial Planning Analyst involves maintaining and enhancing financial models, analyzing financial outcomes, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Maintain and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning to ensure accurate projections.
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to identify trends and areas for improvement, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand key drivers, risks, and opportunities that impact financial performance, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling and Analysis
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models using Excel and other tools to support business decisions.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial results to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on financial performance to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic planning with expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and other financial software applications is essential. Knowledge of financial databases (e.g., Sage, Planful) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with attention to detail, enable you to deliver high-quality work products.
