Key Credit Leadership Role

Our organization is a leading commercial real estate investment firm, focusing on strategic acquisitions and portfolio growth in the Western United States. As a seasoned credit professional, you will lead our credit risk management efforts, driving business growth while maintaining a strong balance sheet.

Responsibilities
  • Credit Policy & Strategy: Develop and implement tailored credit risk policies and procedures to support real estate transactions across various asset classes, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
  • Credit Evaluation & Approval: Assess borrower creditworthiness, leveraging financial analysis and risk assessment tools to inform approval decisions.
  • Portfolio Risk Management: Monitor credit portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure optimal risk exposure.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, legal, and property management teams to ensure seamless deal execution and risk alignment.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports to executive leadership on credit performance, risk exposure, and key metrics, utilizing data analytics to enhance credit decision-making and forecasting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 8-10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including prioritization and multitasking.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
