
U.S. Financial Operations Manager

You will oversee accounting operations, manage full-cycle month-end closings for various U.S. clients across multiple industries.
Direct ownership of close processes and regular client interactions are expected.
Collaboration with finance and accounting leads who provide oversight and mentorship is required.
Additional areas of responsibility include people operations and financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities- Vendor Management and AP:
- Review invoices for proper coding and guide staff.
- PAY INVOICES AFTER CLIENT APPROVAL.
- Oversee 1099 checks on a quarterly basis.
- AR and Cash Management:
- Oversee AR cycle.
- Review weekly cash flow forecasts and communicate changes/differences.
- Monitor cash flow and make recommendations to clients.
- Daily Bookkeeping:
- Manage weekly transaction cycles.
- Maintain organization of data room.
- People:
- Facilitate support staff transitions on clients.
- Review and approve payroll processing in accordance with client payroll schedules.
- Month End Close:
- Review bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Lead month end close procedures in accordance with month end close checklist ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Review monthly balance sheet schedules and disposition discrepancies and/or balances. Advise on necessary adjusting entries.
- Investigate variances and make journal entry corrections as needed.
- Perform month over month flux analysis and document findings.
- Draft monthly reporting package for Client Lead.
- Compliance:
- Review compliance filings such as licensing and corporate insurance.
- Assist accountants with preparation of annual tax returns and audits.
- Manage year-end 1099 filings.
- Communication and Team:
- Work cross-functionally with the organization to support ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain thoughtful, timely, and proactive communication with clients and team.
- Manage accounting inboxes, responding to escalated inquiries where needed.

- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, and/or finance is required.
- 5+ years of relevant U.S. work experience are required.
- CPA and/or MBA is a plus.
- Experience in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar systems is required.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Experience in e-commerce is highly preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and engage in remote environment is required.
- Ability to plan ahead and anticipate personal, client, and team needs is required.
- High comfort level in working with many different cloud-based technology tools is required.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen are required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
