The Systems Engineer at KMC Solutions coordinates and facilitates onsite support to any systems-related concerns and issues. This role is responsible for maintaining the systems' availability and reliability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Acknowledge assigned service requests, incidents or queries via Service Desk according to SLA.
  2. Provide Level 1 & 2 Technical support (Physical & Configuration Support).
  3. Respond and own until resolution of hardware or software problems.
  4. Systems implementations and troubleshooting.
  5. Document Method of Procedures for Maintenance of Hardware and Software initiatives.
  6. Assist OSS to perform duties as assigned.
  7. Interface with Network Operations Center (NOC) and Service Desk (SD) during Critical Events and Outages.
  8. Provide Escalation Support to immediate superior.
  9. Perform hardware installs, racking and configuring of server and data center infrastructure.

Minimum Competencies:
  1. Set up administrative passwords and directory permissions.
  2. Install and maintain anti-virus, firewall and security.
  3. Provide hardware and software engineering support for I.T client/server applications.
  4. Intervene in situations which require an immediate response such as external virus or malware threats.
  5. Select systems, or build them from scratch, along with configuring and integrating them appropriately.
  6. Schedule routine maintenance tasks on assigned servers, to ensure that downtime is eradicated.
