Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Site Acquisition Specialist to conduct comprehensive site assessments, facilitate strategic meetings with stakeholders, and assist in the procurement of land for our projects.

Primary Accountabilities:
  • Conduct thorough research and planning for site surveys
  • Carry out site surveys using advanced equipment such as DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise & LiDAR technology
  • Post-process survey output to generate accurate digital elevation models (DEMs), orthomosaics, point clouds, and other required files
  • Assess sites based on terrain, flood risk, landslide, soil, vegetation, built-ups, access, distance to key infrastructure, irrigation, environmental/social criteria
  • Attend high-level meetings with external stakeholders, including brokers, land agents, landowners, local government units, and government agencies
  • Request technical and legal documents from LGUs and government agencies
  • Support the Site Acquisition Manager in:
    • Identifying new land brokers/agents
    • Establishing/maintaining relationships with external stakeholders
    • Explaining our Land Acquisition standards and requirements
    • Acquiring property and supporting documents
    • Checking technical and legal aspects of provided documents
    • Encoding and plotting technical descriptions
    • Quality checking technical descriptions
    • Generating technical summaries
    • Digitizing lots based on georeferenced maps
    • Assessing offered properties and providing findings
    • Generating maps, CAD files, Shapefiles, and KMZ files
    • Coordinating with internal stakeholders for grid availability, terrain assessment, engineering design, contract development, etc.
    • Generating reports and presenting them to higher management
    • Generating mapping requirements for permitting and land-related concerns
    • Quality checking survey output of 3rd party contractors/consultants if necessary
    • Coordinating with finance and admin departments
    • Signing and sealing mapping documents when necessary
    • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering (licensed) or any relevant field with GIS background
  • Familiarity with georeferencing and digitizing, especially with GIS software
  • At least 1 year experience in piloting drones and post-processing output
  • Adept in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software, QGIS and/or ArcGIS, Google Earth Pro, etc.
  • Ability to travel and flexibility in work hours
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to identify complex problems and develop solutions
  • Works efficiently and handles multiple tasks
  • Fast learner, able to work with minimal assistance
  • Must be energetic, resourceful, and have initiative and sense of urgency
  • Flexible, hardworking, aggressive, and a team player
