Part-Time Software Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. As a member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our software systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications from concept to deployment, as well as integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying server-side code using programming languages such as Python and Node.js, and designing and implementing database schemas, queries, and interactions with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
In addition, you will integrate third-party APIs and services as needed for functionality and data exchange, write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices and standards, conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and maintain high code quality standards.
You will also troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operation of web applications, participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development processes and capabilities.
