Commercial Leadership Opportunity

The role of Commercial Manager involves the overall management and delivery of cost and commercial management services.

This includes formulating and developing goals, objectives, and service expectations of the department, as well as leading client liaison for project-related matters to ensure the highest quality of services and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and coordinates activities of senior team leaders and team leaders to ensure each project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Reviews project reports prepared by senior team leaders and team leaders, modifying schedules or plans as required.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the performance of assigned supervisors and staff, establishing performance requirements and personal development targets.
  • Provides leadership and works with senior team leaders and team leaders to develop and retain highly competent, service-oriented staff through selection, compensation, training, and day-to-day management practices that support CCM's objectives and service expectations.
  • Directs the improvement of management systems, processes, and measurement techniques to improve operations and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional membership or working towards MRICS/RICS or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Developed commercial and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
  • Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Developing experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in contract administration and management.
  • Experience in pre and post contract works.
