ESG Data Analyst

Sustainability is at the forefront of every business decision, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data plays a vital role in making informed investment choices. As an ESG Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing ESG data from various sources to provide insights that help companies make sustainable decisions.

Job Description
  • Collect and analyze ESG data from company disclosures, sustainability reports, annual reports, proxy reports, and websites.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on ESG themes associated with corporates and how investors consume this information to make investment decisions.
  • Support greenhouse gas footprinting projects and regulatory reporting initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain corporate and investor ESG datasets.
  • Create standardized PowerPoint decks for corporate clients.
  • Conduct corporate ESG rating review exercises.
  • Update descriptions of procedures and internal processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Climate Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least two years of proven experience in financial services, ESG research/Sustainable finance/Credit Ratings, think tanks focused on sustainability, or academic research institutes.
  • Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint with strong analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well-organized person able to balance multiple assignments at once.
  • Strong research skills, including planning and delivery, effective communications, multi-tasking, and time management.
