Inventory Management Lead Job Description

As a strategic Inventory Management Lead, you will be responsible for driving the planning, monitoring, and optimization of inventory across client accounts. This role ensures that stock levels are aligned with sales forecasts and supply capabilities, minimizing stockouts and overstocks while supporting overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead demand forecasting and replenishment planning using sales trends and historical data
  • Analyze inventory health (e.g., critical levels, overstock, out-of-stock risks) across SKUs
  • Align inventory planning with marketing campaigns, promotions, and client seasonality
  • Recommend inventory actions such as reorders, markdowns, or marketing push for slow-moving items
  • Oversee inbound PO calendar and supply planning accuracy
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards for inventory KPIs
  • Collaborate with clients, sales, and logistics to align inventory plans with operational targets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory planning or demand forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with e-commerce and/or 3PL operations is a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
