Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in building and scaling test automation frameworks using the Playwright framework. The ideal candidate has experience defining and driving QA automation strategy across large test suites, implementing clean design principles, and introducing AI-assisted testing methodologies for smarter, more efficient QA cycles.

You will be instrumental in establishing a scalable, maintainable, and robust test automation ecosystem. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, serving as a technical leader and mentor to the QA automation team. In this role, you will leverage AI and test automation to enhance and expedite our testing processes, govern and evolve our test frameworks, and develop a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system.

Your expertise will ensure the robustness, efficiency, and reliability of our software delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and utilize AI and intelligent agents to accelerate test generation processes, transitioning from manual test case development to AI-driven automation solutions.
  • Define clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases based on requirements, specifications, and user stories, ensuring test cases cover positive and negative scenarios, edge cases, and system interactions.
  • Organize and maintain test suites to reflect product changes and evolving test coverage needs, refactoring outdated or redundant tests to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Design and implement a test automation framework using Playwright for end-to-end web testing that is modular, maintainable, and scalable, creating a blueprint and best practices for the QA team to onboard and contribute new automated test cases seamlessly.
  • Explore and integrate AI-powered tools for test case generation, flakiness detection, and intelligent exploratory testing, championing shift-left testing practices by collaborating with developers, product managers, and DevOps to catch issues early.
  • Maintain the existing test framework, analyze test failures and test escapes to identify root causes, and implement solutions to foster a culture of quality through continuous improvements in testing methodologies and frameworks.
