Financial Operations Specialist

The Financial Operations Specialist is responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring data integrity and compliance. Key responsibilities include financial record management, payment processing, contract administration, payroll management, application assessment, and maintaining financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across all business accounts to ensure alignment with accounting software and business records.
  • Manage inter-company transactions and reconciliations to balance books across entities.
  • Support end-of-month and end-of-year reporting with reconciled data, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Financial Management & Administration
  • Approve and process customer and operational invoices in accounting software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage supplier payments, expense reimbursements, and payment scheduling aligned with cash flow priorities.
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts as needed for reporting requirements.
Contract Administration & Customer Support
  • Create and edit customer payment schedules based on variations, cancellations, upgrades, or early payouts.
  • Assess applications for contracts, verifying financial viability and compliance with business criteria.
  • Register and discharge financial obligations as required and document all contract-linked transactions.
Collections & Customer Finance Support
  • Monitor overdue accounts and support collections activities with operational teams.
  • Process dishonour fees, administrative charges, and other account adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial and contact data for customers in accounting software and integrated systems.
Systems & Process Management
  • Maintain and enhance the integration between accounting software and external payment platforms to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, reporting improvements, and process optimization.
  • Liaise with financial experts for audits, compliance checks, and ad hoc requests.
