Cost Engineer/Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer/Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role will involve preparing and managing material procurement schedules, as well as tracking and controlling project costs against budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Prepare and manage material procurement schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Cost Control: Track and control project costs against budget, identifying and mitigating potential overruns.
  • Contract Management: Manage all contractual aspects of the project, including preparing tender documents, reviewing contracts, and handling variations.
  • Commercial Risk Management: Identify and manage potential commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering exercises.
  • Subcontractor Management: Review and approve subcontractor quotations and payments.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields is required.
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly in dams and hydro projects, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and contract law is essential.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and tools is necessary.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks and techniques is an advantage.
