Job Title: Cybersecurity Expert

The company seeks a skilled cybersecurity expert to monitor and maintain the security posture of its systems, data, and reputation against evolving cyber threats. This critical role involves ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information by identifying and responding to potential security threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cyber Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and events from various sources; triage and investigate alerts to determine severity, scope, and potential impact.
  • Incident Management: Respond to security incidents in accordance with established procedures; conduct analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery activities; document incident details and lessons learned.
  • Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability scans and assessments of IT infrastructure, applications, and networks; prioritize vulnerabilities and track remediation efforts with relevant teams.
  • Security Tool Administration: Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of security tools and technologies; ensure accurate and reliable data generation.
  • Log Analysis & Threat Intelligence: Collect, analyze, and correlate log data from various systems to identify suspicious activity or potential threats; gather and analyze threat intelligence to enhance detection capabilities.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports on security incidents, vulnerability status, and overall security posture; maintain accurate documentation of security procedures and incident response activities.
  • Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with IT teams and other business units to implement security best practices and address security concerns; provide security-related support and guidance to end-users and internal teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise vulnerability management
  • 2+ years' experience supporting diverse IT systems, processes, or capabilities in large organizations
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices for security vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with SCCM, WSUS (or similar tools) in an enterprise environment
  • Scripting skills, including PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Extensive experience with core vulnerability management scanners (e.g., Qualys, Tenable)
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and ability to articulate application security risks and determine threat level
  • Technical understanding of enterprise IT and cloud-based architectures and technologies
  • Preferred certifications: Net+, Security+, OSCP, CEH, CISSP, GIAC
