About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Australia Payroll Specialist on a hybrid basis. As an integral part of our team, you will ensure that all payroll services provided to clients meet the required Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Main Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Processing: Prepare and process end-to-end Australian payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis for clients within the APAC region.
  2. Collation and Reporting: Collate payroll information, process, produce reports, and journals as required.
  3. Payroll Services: Process redundancies, terminations, new hires, increases, and back pays.
  4. Statutory Compliance: Perform AU statutory contribution and deductions for superannuation, taxation, child support, tax treatment for termination and redundancy, PAYG.
  5. Remittance: Remit monthly superannuation contribution, payroll tax, PAYG, and quarterly employee statements.
  6. System Uploading: Perform uploading of bank files and mass changes for entry into the payroll system.
  7. Year-End Processing: End-of-year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries.
  8. Client Support: Handle all payroll and tax matters and queries from clients in a timely manner.
  9. Reconciliation: Perform payroll reconciliation related to General Ledger accounts.
  10. Reporting: Produce statutory and payroll reports and submit to various business units.

Attributes and Experience Required:

  • Australia Payroll Legislation: Well-versed with Australia payroll legislation and statutory requirements and filings.
  • Interpretation: Ability to interpret awards, legislation, tax, and superannuation.
  • Payroll Experience: Solid experience and knowledge of hands-on processing in-house Australia payroll experience.
  • Regional Payroll: Experience in regional payroll will be an advantage.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and able to explain payroll processing matters clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office especially advanced Excel skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Independence: Able to work under pressure and independently.
  • Workload Management: Able to prioritize own workload.
