Financial Operations Specialist

A highly detail-oriented Bookkeeper is needed to support fast-growing businesses in the retail industry. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining transaction processing, and supporting key automation initiatives using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools.
The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment and has experience in retail bookkeeping. They must be able to jump in, lighten the team's load, and make a meaningful impact through operational excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) accurately.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date general ledger.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
In addition, the Bookkeeper will:
- Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration.
- Assist with the financial nuances of jewelry sales, returns, and vendor purchasing.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail setting.
- Experience in or with the jewelry industry is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel is required.
