Financial Operations Specialist

This is a remote position. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Operations Specialist to support our financial operations, reporting, and compliance processes.
The successful candidate will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, perform daily bookkeeping tasks, ensure all transactions are properly recorded and classified, and generate various financial reports to support decision-making and provide insights into financial performance.
The role also involves assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support, ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and company policies, and supporting the preparation and filing of various US tax forms (e.g., sales tax, 1099s).
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate various financial reports to support decision-making and provide insights into financial performance.
- A/P and A/R Support:
- Support in Invoicing & Billing
- Maintain accurate client & vendor records.
- Compliance & Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Solid understanding of US taxation basics (e.g., 1099, sales tax)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience supporting audits and ensuring financial compliance
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
