Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing procurement of materials and services to support vessel operations and enhance the guest experience.

This role involves issuing and revising purchase orders, sourcing items from suppliers, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Issuing and revising purchase orders for approved service, repair, and material requisitions;
  • Sourcing items from suppliers by researching and identifying supply options;
  • Coordinating logistics of the material or parts for repair up to their final destination;
  • Providing follow-up and expediting as needed to ensure timely arrival of supplies at the final destination;
  • Maintaining proper backup documentation in the purchase orders file;
  • Developing and maintaining regular progress reports on all initiatives;
  • Following established guidelines and procedures on technical purchasing defined in the Purchasing Manual;
  • Performing other job-related functions as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or background in technical trading;
  • 1 year of technical purchasing experience preferred; business or technical purchasing experience considered valuable.

Skills and qualifications required include:

  • Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude;
  • Ability to work as a team member;
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
