Accounting Specialist - US Tax and Payroll Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Specialist with expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and preparing US tax returns, handling payroll returns, and maintaining accurate financial records using QBO.

This role requires a strong understanding of US tax laws, payroll processes, and proficiency in using QBO for financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • US Tax Returns: Prepare and file US federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing and prepare accurate and timely payroll returns
  • Financial Records: Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • General Bookkeeping: Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts
  • Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in preparing US tax returns and payroll returns
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other accounting software
  • Strong understanding of US tax laws, payroll processes, and accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, Enrolled Agent) is a plus

  • Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices and regulations
