Job Description

The Legal Manager role at AboitizPower – AP Renewables Inc. is a key position that requires a high degree of legal knowledge and expertise.

The job holder will be responsible for providing legal advice on various aspects, including energy, labor, safety, health, and environmental issues.

They will also conduct due diligence on land and other legal matters, coordinate with external counsel, and build partnerships with stakeholders.

Additionally, they will coordinate and implement strategies for compliance monitoring and audits, ensuring that permits, contracts, agreements, and compliance issues are properly tracked and timely complied with.

Other responsibilities include conducting legal research, developing reference materials, drafting contracts, legal opinions, agreements, and other legal documents as needed.

They will also stay current on relevant industry and government compliance programs related to renewable energy and provide updates on changes in legislation, regulations, and other requirements that may result in organizational response.

The job holder will attend public consultations with relevant external stakeholders to represent the organization's interests.

They will also represent the organization and its business units in legal proceedings, as required, and negotiate with identified stakeholders for legal and compliance issues.

Furthermore, they will facilitate timely completion of compliance matters by coordinating with relevant internal teams for submissions.

They will manage regular coordination with identified Legal and Compliance stakeholders to ensure open communication lines.

Lastly, they will ensure and implement proper filing of legal documents, compliances, and permits.

They will report progress of all legal and compliance issues to team leaders and coordinate with other departments for the necessary information or assistance required for timely submission of all legal and compliance requirements.
