At our organization, we are seeking a Paralegal and Data Privacy Specialist to provide crucial support to our legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal assistance to lawyers by conducting research, preparing legal documents, and assisting with trial preparation.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents in support of developing case strategies.
  • Assist in reviewing contracts and service agreements with client accounts.
  • Assist in drafting various legal documents such as pleadings and correspondences.
  • Organize and maintain legal documents and evidences in both paper and electronic filing systems.
Data Privacy Responsibilities
  • Develop data privacy policies ensuring alignment and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the development of function-specific data protection policies, procedures, and security measures.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential gaps in compliance with data privacy policies.
  • Educate and raise awareness of employees on data privacy principles, responsibilities, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for data protection authorities and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Relevant education and/or certification preferably Bachelor of Laws LLB graduate.
  • At least 1 year work experience as paralegal Prior involvement in Data Privacy matters would be desirable.

The ideal candidate should be computer savvy have strong research skills analytical skills leadership skills interpersonal relationship skills communication skills and be a team-worker with initiative and a strong work ethic.
