Job Overview

A logistics professional is needed to manage the transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation logistics and be able to analyze data to optimize routes and reduce costs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Develop strong relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Fleet and Route Management: Schedule truck arrivals and departures to minimize idle time and develop strategies to maximize route efficiency and truck utilization.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Ensure consistent truck availability for transporting orders to hubs, schedule daily truck call times, and prepare weekly and monthly forecasts to anticipate transport needs.
  • Campaign Planning: Develop and execute plans for sale campaigns two weeks in advance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor fleet performance, track KPIs related to transport availability and efficiency, and identify bottlenecks in truck turnaround times.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, drivers, and suppliers to resolve issues promptly and adjust plans based on feedback to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in transportation logistics.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and plan effectively.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams, truckers, and drivers.
  • Proficiency in using Google Sheets and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
