Job Overview

As a Director of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of software development teams. You will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise in areas such as software delivery, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established product, program, and project management techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to high-performing development teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Design, implement, and monitor operations and key performance metrics or operational efficiency for the engineering team.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and in scope by managing resources and priorities effectively.
  • Adapt program plans and priorities to address business, technical, and operational challenges.
  • Set team direction, resolve problems, and provide guidance to members of the team to drive results.
  • Oversee work activities to ensure quality deliverables that meet program needs and requirements.
  • Provide innovative solutions to technical challenges to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Manage a team of high-performing technical team members, recruiting and developing them in their careers.
  • Communicate operational issues clearly with stakeholders and lead RCA and establishment 360 loop of improvement.
  • Recommend new ideas to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have 10+ years of experience in technical software engineering.
  • Possess 6+ years of experience managing technical engineering teams.
  • Deliver technical products to an active user base in a live production environment for 5+ years.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to ensure project milestones are met for 5+ years.
  • Experience executive stakeholder management and presentations for 3+ years.
