Containerization and Virtualization Expert

Our team seeks a highly skilled containerization and virtualization professional to spearhead the development of cutting-edge software solutions. This key position requires an individual with expertise in designing, specifying, and implementing new features, as well as engaging with upstream communities in their area of specialization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specification of new features, fostering consensus on approach
  • Engagement with upstream communities in your area of expertise
  • Security analysis and reviews to ensure defence in depth
  • Performance benchmarking to optimize products
  • Collaborative work with distributed teams
  • Development of high-quality code for new features
  • Debugging issues and producing high-quality code for fixes
  • Code review by other engineers

For this role, we are looking for an exceptional candidate with a strong academic track record, undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, and relevant experience in open-source virt or container tech. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability, as well as passion, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation.

  • Drive and commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Experience working on open-source virt or container tech
  • Proficiency in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel twice a year for company events up to two weeks each
