We are hiring a skilled Software Developer to work in an exciting role within our Linux-based infrastructure and applications team, covering all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization (KVM), containerization (Docker/LXC/LXD), storage (Ceph and Linux filesystems), networking (OVS, OVN and Core networking), OpenStack, Kubernetes, and open-source applications.

This position involves addressing complex issues in the open-source stack that require upstream bug fixes. Our developers have the ability to work effectively at any level of the stack, from kernel to user-level code, using a range of programming languages to identify and resolve software issues.

Key responsibilities include resolving technical problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes, collaborating with internal teams, contributing to open-source communities, developing bug fixes, backporting patches, reviewing code produced by other developers, and applying sound judgment in technical approaches and methods.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field, experience with Linux and open-source software, and proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux. Additionally, they should demonstrate a drive to learn new technologies and dive into challenging issues.
