Job Opportunity

The role of Database Management Specialist is a key position within our organization, responsible for providing service and support to the business. We are seeking an individual with strong analytical skills and operational experience to manage the IT needs and requirements of our databases.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Perform database tuning and performance monitoring, ensuring optimal system performance and efficiency.
  • SQL Server Management: Install, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot SQL Server installations, maintaining high levels of uptime and reliability.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance plans for SQL Servers and Application Servers, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve database and application performance issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Implementation and Deployment: Execute database and application implementations/deployments, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business processes.
  • Backup and Restore Procedures: Perform periodic backups and restore procedures as needed, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience working with IAAS and PAAS databases; SQL Server Databases.
  • Understanding of Relational Database Management System Concepts.
  • Intermediate skills in SQL Scripting, Powershell Scripting, MS SQL, Azure, FTP/SFTP, SSIS, DTA, and SQL Profiler.
  • Administration and Database Management background.
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning & High Availability Setup.
  • SQL Server / Database Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Knowledge and application of change & release management, ITIL4 & project management.
  • Relevant experience working in DevOps organizations or understanding of DevOps principles.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of how technology supports business strategy.
  • Amenable to work in various shift schedules assigned (rotating shift).
