We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Collections Representative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections and excellent communication skills.

Job Description

This role involves contacting customers with overdue accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records while delivering exceptional service.

  • Make outbound calls to customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements in accordance with company policies.
  • Update customer accounts and document all collection activities.
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Making outbound calls to customers to resolve outstanding debts.
  2. Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers.
  3. Updating customer accounts and documenting all collection activities.
  4. FOLLOWING UP ON BROKEN PROMISES AND MAINTAINING CONSISTENT CONTACT WITH DEBTORS.
  5. ADHERING TO COMPLIANCE REGULATIONS AND MAINTAINING CONFIDENTIALITY.
  6. MEETING DAILY AND MONTHLY COLLECTION TARGETS AND CALL QUALITY STANDARDS.
  7. HANDLING DISPUTES AND ESCALATING COMPLEX CASES TO THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENT.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in collections or a similar contact center role.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with debt collection laws and practices.
