The position contributes to the growth and profitability of Stradcom Corporation by administering, managing and handling back-up and recovery of auxiliary databases and the replication of databases for all data nationwide.

This position directly reports to the Manager, Database Administration as an individual contributor and does not have any direct report.

Job Description:

  • Provide technical support to Customer Care Specialists/Customer Care Associates and Field Service Engineers on back-up and recovery for Core Applications and Auxiliary databases and replication servers;
  • Perform back-up and recovery for Core Applications and Auxiliary databases and replication servers;
  • Design and load schedules and automated processes for Regional Office (RO) and District Office (DO) Servers;
  • Meet service commitments and assigned deliverables based on service level agreement;
  • Participate in production verification activities and developing user interface strategy;
  • Monitor and analyze system performance and capacity and report to Database Administration Manager for review;
  • Implement, maintain and test database on production and development platforms including replication services;
  • Create, maintain and execute work plans;
  • Identify and track issues, risks and action items, provide status to affected stakeholders and facilitates its resolutions;
  • Implement migration of new builds;
  • Configure database server and other related software;
  • Install or upgrade new releases of vendor database software;
  • Develop and implement database standards including automation of common routines; and,
  • Migrate databases across various hardware platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any IT related course
  • Must have at least 2-3 years of related experience
  • Knowledgeable in Sybase, MS SQL, Oracle, Java, and advanced programming, and server application
  • Can work on a Hybrid Set-up in Quezon City
