
Live Scribing Specialist

As a Medical Live Scribe, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our eye care specialists during patient consultations. Your primary responsibility will be to document encounters in real-time, ensuring the accuracy of medical records and contributing to an optimized clinical workflow.
You will attend virtual or in-person patient consultations to transcribe interactions with ophthalmologists and optometrists, utilizing your typing skills and attention to detail to capture every crucial moment.
The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft 365, and experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) systems. Familiarity with ophthalmologic terminology is also essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Document Patient Encounters: Accurately record and transcribe interactions between patients and eye care specialists during virtual or in-person consultations.
- Maintain Electronic Health Records: Input notes into EHR systems using Windows-based software while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Organize and Secure Medical Files: Manage large volumes of medical files securely on a personal PC, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Flag Inconsistencies: Identify and clarify inconsistencies in visual exam documentation and diagnostic data, ensuring the accuracy of patient records.
- Strong Typing Skills: Possess excellent typing speed and accuracy to efficiently document patient encounters.
- Electronic Health Record Experience: Have prior experience working with EHR systems and knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
- Ophthalmologic Terminology: Be familiar with ophthalmologic terminology and concepts, including refraction, tonometry, and fundus exams.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
