At Canonical, we are looking for a talented Go Software Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have professional software development experience using Go, Python, C, or C++. They should also be familiar with Linux system-level fundamentals, such as cgroups and namespaces.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled engineer to work on a new open-source developer experience tool. This project involves rethinking traditional developer workflows and preserving what people love about Linux while enabling them to work better in immutable distro environments.

The successful candidate will design the user experience of new capabilities in the tool, write high-quality code to create new features, and obsess with correctness and robustness of their work for diverse use cases.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Professional software development experience using Go, Python, C, or C++
  • Familiarity with Linux system-level fundamentals, such as cgroups and namespaces
