Procurement and Cost Control Professional

Join a dynamic team as a Procurement and Cost Control Professional, responsible for managing the centralisation of procurement and cost control activities from our centres to transition within our global Supply Chain Shared Service Centre covering +3,000 Business Centres.

The key objective of this role is to provide outstanding levels of service through proactive ticket management. We aim to improve company profits by identifying and reducing unnecessary business activities and expenses by enforcing global policies in a timely and consistent manner.

You will be part of the team responsible for verifying goods and services tickets in terms of information completeness and need within agreed SLAs. This includes validating work required and ensuring information on the ticket is complete and true, including those for new vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify goods and services tickets against agreed SLAs.
  • Validate work required and ensure information on the ticket is complete and true.
  • Approve or reject request tickets against global policies within pre-defined service level agreement.
  • Assess quotes received from vendors against cost benchmarks or open market data to ensure best prices achieved.
  • Submit requests for goods or services to nominated suppliers engaging with them to accept the work within defined service level agreement.
  • Follow up with suppliers and centres to ensure goods or services have been delivered to at least satisfactory level.
  • Handle issues or concerns from suppliers, centre teams or internal stakeholders and resolve problems in timely and professional manner.
  • Carry out invoice verification checks where invoices submitted above approved purchase order amount and pass outcomes back to accounts payable team.
  • Manage ordering apps facilitating goods and services ordering from centres.
  • Ensure all details are up to date including prices, contact information, centre information etc.
  • Check requests adding new suppliers.
  • Receive, process and reconcile requests for goods and services recharged to customers ensuring revenue leakage removed across centres.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree graduate.
  • Great communicator fluent in English (written and spoken). Fluency in other languages is beneficial but not required.
  • Collaborates effectively enjoys helping people and resolving issues working with centre teams, external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Good attention to detail follows processes and ensures compliance with policies.
  • Experienced problem solver independent and able to identify solutions.
  • Responsible self-starter who can own delivery of key results and service levels.
  • Good in data analysis comfortable with Excel data reports and numbers able to interpret data and report as needed.
  • Has good commercial awareness understands how financial performance affects business results.

Other Notes:

  • Working policy currently on hybrid setup 2 days a week in the office with some flexibility for specific events/training.
  • Shifts majority work local daytime office hours prepared to work shifts aligning with European (GMT) or local hours where required.
  • Holidays may need to work on certain holidays to maintain skeletal coverage.
