We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. They will be able to design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test plans, as well as review and understand software requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
Responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using a defect tracking system, performing thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on test ability and quality, participating in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective, documenting and communicating test results, status reports, and defect metrics to the QA Manager and development team, and mentoring and providing guidance to junior QA testers.
Required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing, strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts, experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will also have experience with testing web and mobile applications, experience in Automation testing tools (Lambda, Katalon, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot, Appium, etc.), knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, basic understanding of SQL and database testing, familiarity with automated testing tools and techniques, ISTQB certification or similar, experience with performance and load testing tools, and skills and competencies including strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, ability to work independently and collaboratively, adaptability and eagerness to learn new testing tools and techniques.
