Senior Accounts Receivable Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and time-management skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy. You will work closely with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and verifying receipts for goods sold or services rendered
  • FOLLOWING UP ON, collect, and allocate payments for credit card customers
  • Communicating with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
  • Maintaining accurate records regarding payments and account statuses
  • Performing account reconciliations by making sure prepaid customers have no outstanding balances on their account
  • Resolving account discrepancies through research and investigation
  • Working extensively with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms
  • Creating reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
  • Ensuring records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date
  • Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-5 years of Accounts Receivable/Payable and/or General Accounting experience
  • Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Word, and Outlook
  • Strong Netsuite experience in functions for AR and AP process
  • Strong working knowledge using Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas etc.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
