
Remote Payroll Administrator

This role involves overseeing the entire payroll process, from initial setup to final payment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive payroll system to streamline processing and minimize errors.
- Manage employee data with precision, using advanced tools like Employment Hero to stay up-to-date.
- Prepare and submit relevant documentation, such as TFN declarations, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process termination payments in accordance with contractual obligations or Awards.
- Conduct regular reconciliations to verify accuracy of leave entitlements.
- Monitor and address employee expenses and timesheet approvals promptly.
- Provide clear, concise responses to staff inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Support the finance team by contributing to payroll-related reporting and analysis.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll role within a medium to large organization is required.
- Proficiency in using Employment Hero and advanced Microsoft Excel is essential.
- The ability to maintain high levels of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is crucial.
- Candidates must be able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, combined with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly, are necessary.
- Familiarity with the Fair Work Act 2009 and National Employment Standards is advantageous.
- Award interpretation experience can be beneficial.
- Exposure to HR-related tasks, such as updating employment changes or processing workers' compensation claims, is desirable.
