Job Title: Academic Coach

This is a remote opportunity to work as an Academic Coach, supporting K-12 students with IEPs/504s.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to lead tutor onboarding and ongoing coaching. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Response to Intervention/Multi-Tiered System of Supports (RTI/MTSS), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), accommodations/modifications, and behavior supports.

Responsibilities:
  • Onboard tutors by preparing them for the first session and showing them how to navigate curriculum/assessments.
  • Coach strategies for students with autism, ADHD, English Language Learners (ELL), and behavior supports, including implementing IEP/504 accommodations.
  • Develop resources such as the Special Education Toolkit, sample lessons, planning templates, and progress-monitoring tools.
  • Run professional development (PD) & coaching through monthly drop-ins/webinars, provide feedback, and celebrate successes.
  • Enable educators by managing a Virtual Resource Hub and creating one-pagers and short video tutorials.
  • Support systems by providing FAQs, troubleshooting, and streamlined check-ins with tutors/families/schools.
  • Ensure quality assurance by reviewing lesson plans for standards and IEP alignment and modeling demo lessons.
  • Monitor data & goals by using TME assessments for baseline → mastery and set goals with tutors and track progress.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education (or related field) and 3+ years of experience working with K-12 students with special needs.
  • Proven coaching/PD facilitation skills and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Expertise in UDL, RTI/MTSS, SEL, accommodations/modifications, and behavior supports.
  • Data-literate and proficient with Google Workspace and listed edtech tools.
