Senior Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Description:

"

This role will provide support to the Accounts Department, managing obligations to suppliers, clients and third-party vendors.

"

Responsibilities include reconciling financial statements from suppliers, preparing, sending and storing invoices, managing inter-company transactions and assisting with payroll.

"

The successful candidate will also ensure consumer statements are sent out in an accurate, timely and complete manner, handling communications with clients, suppliers and employees via phone, email and in-person.

"

Additionally, they will assist with audits, reviews and be able to identify and resolve discrepancies.

"

Other duties may include updating internal accounting databases and spreadsheets, undertaking additional financial tasks or projects as assigned by the senior management team, and collaborating with the Finance Manager to implement more efficient and effective procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

"
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in AU accounting and finance is required."
  • Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software is essential."
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel (VLOOKUPs and tables), are necessary."
  • Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors are required."
  • Aged care and NDIS experience is preferred."
  • Experience in construction and maintenance sector industry is beneficial."
  • Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
