Job Overview

The role of a Tax Filing/Bookkeeper involves managing financial records, preparing tax filings, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, preparing and filing tax returns, reconciling bank statements, and monitoring cash flow.

This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy. The individual will work closely with the finance team to manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and support the overall financial health of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Preparing and filing tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Reconciling bank statements and monitoring cash flow
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax preparation. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools is also essential.

Additionally, you should possess strong analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent communication skills.
